Editing a recipe: names, steps, and notes

Tidy up a recipe in place — rename it, reword notes, and add, reorder, or remove steps. Almost everything is click-to-edit.

A saved recipe isn't locked. You can adjust the name, the notes, and the steps right on the recipe page.

Click to edit

Most fields edit in place — tap the name or notes to change them.

Heads up: There's no separate Edit button to hunt for. If something looks like text, try tapping it — that's how you edit it.

Working with steps

You can add, reorder, and delete steps. On a phone, a step pager lets you move through them one at a time.

What you can't change here

Some details — a step's duration or its beginner notes — are set elsewhere, not on this edit screen, so you won't find them here.
