When the Scent Studio composes a blend, some of the oils it reaches for may be ones you don't have on your shelf yet. Ellie calls these your gap oils — and you don't have to write them down. Send them straight to your shopping list.

Where the gaps come from

Ellie builds each blend from the fragrance oils in your pantry, but a mood sometimes calls for a note you don't stock. Those show up on your results under Worth adding · gap oils — the oils that would round out the blend if you had them.

Adding the gaps

On your Scent Studio results, the Add gap oils to shopping list button names the exact count and pluralizes — three gaps read "Add 3 gap oils to shopping list", a single gap reads "Add 1 gap oil to shopping list". One tap sends every gap oil onto your list, and the button switches to Added to shopping list once they're saved.

If the blend already covers the mood with what you own, there's nothing to add and Ellie tells you so.

Where they go

From there the gap oils live with everything else on your shopping list, ready for your next order — so a blend you liked in the Scent Studio turns into a concrete list of what to buy to make it real. Your shopping list also fills from the pantry itself: any wax, wick, fragrance, or vessel you mark low flows onto it the same way. See your candle pantry for how stock status feeds the list.
