Using the shopping list

Ellie builds your shopping list from the colorants you've marked low — with buy links, so a bare shelf never sneaks up on you mid-pour.

Ellie builds your shopping list for you. It fills with the colorants you've flagged as running low, gives you a link to buy each one, and stays out of your way until you need it. You don't build this list by hand — it builds itself.

Where the list comes from

Any colorant you've set to Low, Out, or Needs order in your pantry shows up here automatically. That's the whole list: the things you've told the app you're short on.

Heads up: Item status is something you set yourself in the pantry — it doesn't flip on its own when you hit zero. Mark a colorant Low or Needs order and it lands on this list.

Each item carries a link straight to where you can restock it, so you're not hunting down the product name and digging through a vendor site to find it again.

"Suggested from Dream it up"

Below your pantry items, you'll find a Suggested from Dream it up section. These are freeform picks carried over from your Dream-it-up sessions — colors an idea called for that you don't have yet. They sit alongside your reorder list so you can grab everything in one trip.

Taking things off the list

Because the list builds itself, you don't delete pantry rows from it directly. To clear a pantry item, change its status back to In stock in your pantry and it drops off here on its own.

The Suggested from Dream it up rows are the exception — those have a Remove button, since they're freeform and not tied to a pantry status.

Taking your list with you

When you're ready to shop, take the list with you:

  • PDF — print it or save it to your phone.
  • Copy — paste it into your notes or a message.
  • Open in Ellie — talk it through with her, gap colorants already loaded.
